Hello, I’m Rick.

I’m a wedding, family, and portrait photographer based in Long Beach, California, serving couples throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.

Photography didn’t begin for me as a business. It began as a way to hold on to moments. I grew up around action sports and carried a camera everywhere documenting friends, college adventures, family vacations, and anything that felt worth remembering. When the early GoPro days hit, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world that we could freeze our adventures in time. That instinct to preserve life as it happened never left me.

In college, I bought my roommate’s old Canon DSLR and started driving around Costa Mesa photographing anything and everything. Senior year, I took a visual communications course and had an internship at the Port of Los Angeles in their audio-visual department and loved it! I realized I wasn’t just taking pictures, I was preserving stories.

Even though I graduated with a degree in psychology, I felt pulled toward visual storytelling. After working in nonprofit marketing and creating media for meaningful causes, I made the decision to go all in on photography and videography. Beyond my own clients, I’m honored to collaborate with established studios and talented teams, constantly refining my craft and pushing myself with every wedding I photograph.

How I See People

I believe photography is more than pretty pictures-it’s seeing people.

My faith shapes how I see people. I believe we are created in the image of God with inherent dignity, value, purpose, story and beauty. My job is not to manufacture something artificial. It’s to reveal what’s already there.

What Working With Me Feels Like

Calm.
Grounded.
Intentional.

I’ll guide you when needed — adjusting posture, refining composition, making sure you look your best. Then I step back and let the real moments unfold.

Clients often tell me they felt so comfortable and taken care of throughout the day even though they thought they’d be “awkward on camera.”

That’s the goal. Creating an experience with you capturing the moments as they unfold.

Outside of Weddings

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m leaning into the things that keep me inspired, creative, and grounded. I’ve been a lifelong musician with drumming being my main instrument. My love for music has given me a natural sense of rhythm and flow. It’s also shaped the way I work: emotionally in tune, collaborative, and fully present so we can tell your story organically and authentically. Lately, I’ve also found a lot of joy in the kitchen as a home cook and coffee connoisseur.

Above all, I’m a family man. My wife, our baby, and our dog are my biggest joys and constant reminders of just how fast time moves.

Let’s Connect

I genuinely love this beautiful life, and it’s an honor to be invited into yours. I’m grateful to do what I do and to give you the gift of photographs you’ll hold onto forever. I believe you were uniquely created in the image of God, and your story deserves to be told in a way that’s beautiful and true. I can’t wait to meet you!
