I photograph families the same way I photograph weddings: with intention and guidance when needed while creating images you'll love now and for generations.

What to Expect

We usually start with the full group shot (the one you’ll probably use as your Christmas card), then move into smaller combinations and groupings before getting some individual shots. Through all this, we’ll get a mix of posed, prompted, and candid images telling the story of your family and that moment in time.

Whether we're at a park, beach, wilderness, or your living room, the goal is the same: photographs that show the beauty of your family in this moment of life.

Editing

I edit every gallery in one of three styles, all built on the same editorial palette. My main editing style for family shoots is called Classic. Classic has clean highlights that feel bright without blowing out your skin or dress natural greens that look true to how the scene felt in person, warm, soft skin tones with just enough polish to feel elevated, and a subtle, faded-film quality that feels current without trying too hard. I also love black and white images inspired by Ilford HP5 400 film for the moments that hit harder without color. All in all, your photos should feel just as true the thousandth time you see them as the first. That's the standard I edit to.

My job is seeing people. Every family looks different, and that's the whole point. I bring genuine curiosity and care to every session because the people in front of my camera matter more than the photos themselves.

  • Family Session — $400
    45 to 60 minutes, one location, up to 6 people

    Perfect for parents and kids, new babies, or a couple and their dog. We’ll start with a few classic shots of everyone together, then loosen things up with smaller groupings, the kids running around, and the in-between moments you didn’t know you needed. I keep it relaxed and easy, so even the little ones who “don’t want to take pictures” end up having fun. You’ll get 40 edited high-resolution images in an online gallery within two weeks.

  • Extended Family Session — $650
    90 minutes, one location, large families and groups

    For when the whole crew is finally in one place: grandparents, cousins, siblings, and everyone in between. We’ll get the big group shot Grandma’s been asking for, then work through each family and the combinations that matter most, without anyone standing around waiting too long. The extra time means no rushing and plenty of room for the candid, laughing-together moments. You’ll get 60+ edited high-resolution images in an online gallery within two weeks.

  • Mini Session — $199
    20 minutes, one location, select fall dates only

    A quick, easy way to get updated family photos without committing to a full session. Perfect for holiday cards, a fresh photo for the wall, or catching the kids before they grow another inch. We’ll keep it simple and fun, and you’ll walk away with 6 edited high-resolution images in an online gallery. Mini sessions are only offered on select fall dates and spots fill fast.
