A quiet south OC beach with the train tracks running between bluff and sand, classic Southern California rail-and-surf scenery. Less crowded than the main San Clemente Pier stretch. Great for relaxed couple sessions with golden-hour wraparound light.

Crystal Cove State Beach (Newport Coast)

Little Corona del Mar Beach (Corona del Mar)
A small cove tucked between rocky outcrops, more intimate than Big Corona just up the coast. Tide pools, sea stacks, and a curving shoreline make it strong for couple sessions at low tide. Easier parking than Big Corona but still busy on weekends.

Pirate Tower (Laguna Beach, on Victoria Beach)
The iconic 60-foot turret built into the cliff at Victoria Beach, a fairy-tale landmark unlike anything else on the coast. Only accessible at low tide, so plan around the tide chart. Best shot in the late afternoon when light hits the tower face.
