Elegant & Timeless San Pedro Wedding Photography
This San Pedro wedding day was the kind that feels effortless in the best way—elegant, intimate, and full of meaning from start to finish. Every location had a purpose, every transition felt natural, and the whole day carried that calm, coastal energy that makes Southern California weddings so special.
Getting Ready at Terranea Resort Cottages
We started the day at the Terranea Resort cottages with the bride and her bridal party. Between the soft ocean light, the coastal textures, and the peaceful pace of the morning, it was the perfect setting for those quiet “before it all begins” moments. These ended up being some of my favorite images of the entire day—timeless bridal portraits, the final touches, and genuine interactions that you just can’t recreate later.
A Micro Backyard Wedding Overlooking the Ocean Cliffs
From there, we moved to a family friend’s home—a place that wasn’t just beautiful, but meaningful. The couple spent a lot of their dating years here, so having their ceremony in that backyard brought an extra layer of story to the day. It was a true micro-wedding: intimate, personal, and centered on the people who matter most.
And the view? Unreal. Ocean cliffs stretching out in the background, salty air, and that classic San Pedro coastline doing what it does best—adding drama and beauty without trying too hard. The ceremony felt relaxed and heartfelt, and the setting made everything look naturally elevated.
Portraits by the Water + Sunset at the Marina
After the “we’re married!” moments and family photos, we carved out time for portraits by the water. This is always where the day starts to breathe a little—no pressure, just the couple soaking it all in. We caught a beautiful sunset at the marina, with warm light reflecting off the water and that glowing horizon that makes every frame feel cinematic and timeless.
Grand Reception at the DoubleTree
To end the night, we headed to the DoubleTree for a grand reception that brought the energy. The transition from intimate ceremony to a full celebration felt like the perfect arc—quiet, emotional moments earlier in the day, then the big “let’s party” finale with everyone together.
The toasts were heartfelt, the room felt alive, and once the dance floor opened up it stayed packed. The night ended exactly how you want it to: a lively dance floor, big smiles, and the kind of celebration people remember for years.
If you’re planning an elegant San Pedro wedding and want photography that feels natural, timeless, and true to the day—this is the blueprint. Coastal beauty, meaningful locations, and a celebration that finishes strong.
